The City of Long Beach has begun work on the east outer wall of the Long Beach Harbor, using State funding. The City worked through a partnership with the Harrison County Sand Beach and the Department of Marine Resources to establish a lay down yard to continue work on the east wall and act as rock debris storage. The rock debris will then act as back fill once the east wall is completed. Once construction is completed, the sand beach will be restored to preexisting conditions.
