Prom night is one of the highlights of the school year, and memories from the special night are often cherished throughout one’s life time - but what about students whose families are struggling and can’t afford to purchase sparkly evening gowns or tuxedos for the special occasion?
Long Beach High School students are in luck. The Long Beach High School Prom Closet project will provide students in need with evening wear for prom night, which is scheduled for Saturday, April 27, at 7 p.m. for Long Beach High School.
The group is now collecting slacks, suits, dress shoes, belts, ties, tuxedos, heels, gowns and dresses of all sizes to help meet the needs of local students who cannot afford to buy prom attire.
